Questions about Odoo HR.

Does Odoo do full payroll? +

Native Odoo Payroll exists but country coverage is limited and quality uneven. For Australia, New Zealand, the UK, the US, and most of Europe we recommend integrating to a specialist payroll provider (KeyPay, ADP, Gusto, etc.) and posting payroll journals back to Odoo Accounting.

How does ATO STP (Single Touch Payroll) work? +

STP submission is handled by your payroll provider (KeyPay being the most common in our AU customer base). Odoo holds the employee master data, leave balances, expense reimbursements, and the resulting payroll journal.

Is the data GDPR-compliant? +

GDPR-aligned with role-based access, audit logging, retention rules, and data-export and deletion endpoints. We configure region-specific privacy controls during implementation.

Can employees self-serve their leave and expenses? +

Yes, via web or mobile. Leave requests, expense submissions, document downloads, and updates to personal details, all from a portal that respects role-based access.
