Wholesale
Stock you can trust, pricing your customer expects.
Distributors, importers, and B2B wholesalers running Odoo for multi-warehouse inventory, customer-specific pricing, drop-ship and back-order workflows, and the EDI feeds the major retailers demand. The accounting and the warehouse, finally telling the same story.
Processes
What we configure for Wholesale.
Configure the standard product first; customise only when standard truly cannot.
-
01
Multi-warehouse
Stock visible across every location. Inter-warehouse transfers, allocation rules, putaway strategies, and the routes that match how your warehouse actually works.
-
02
Customer pricing
Price lists per customer or customer tier, contract pricing, volume breaks, promotion overlays, and the maths your sales team trusts.
-
03
Drop-ship and back-order
Drop-ship routing for items you do not stock, back-orders managed automatically, customers told the truth before they ask.
-
04
EDI
EDI feeds in and out for the major retailers and 3PLs that demand them. Inbound 850 purchase orders, outbound 856 ASNs, 810 invoices, 855 acknowledgements.
-
05
Returns and RMA
Return-merchandise authorisations with reason codes, restocking fees, credit memos auto-generated, and inventory reinstated cleanly.
Pain, addressed
Where Wholesale clients usually start.
-
01 · The pain
Stock-on-hand on the system never matches the warehouse.
Our answer
Cycle counting, putaway strategies, and barcoded pick-paths. We tighten the data discipline first, the stock numbers follow.
-
02 · The pain
Sales reps quote prices the system does not honour.
Our answer
Price lists and discount approval rules in Odoo. The price the rep quotes is the price the system charges, or the system blocks it.
-
03 · The pain
Major customer demands EDI and our team uploads CSVs.
Our answer
EDI integration for 850, 855, 856, 810, mapped to your trading partner's spec. Manual uploads disappear.
-
04 · The pain
Drop-ship is run manually because the system cannot route to a supplier.
Our answer
Drop-ship route on the product, supplier set on the partner, purchase order generated automatically when the sales order ships.

Frequently asked
Questions about Wholesale.
Can Odoo handle landed cost for imported stock? +
Yes. Freight, duty, insurance, and brokerage allocated across the receipt, post-receipt if invoices land later, with the inventory value updated and journal entries posted automatically.
What about consignment stock at customer sites? +
Consignment is a route in Odoo. Stock physically at the customer remains on your balance sheet until they confirm usage. We configure the journal flow so finance is correct from day one.
Do you handle FEFO or FIFO picking by lot expiry? +
Yes. Removal strategies are configurable per warehouse and per product category. FEFO for perishables, FIFO for everything else, override-able per pick.
How does B2B pricing work in the customer portal? +
Customer logs in, sees their own price list, places orders that route through your normal approval flow. They see open invoices, balances, and statements. Self-service that does not undermine your account managers.
